Filming All Done! No more Beach...

During spring break, I was able to complete all filming. It was perfect timing to complete all filming since we all had free time. My cousins who each own the pets in my film (bunny and hamster) had free time to clean up the animal’s cages. Prior to the cleaning, the cages were filled with poop and other substances that would have most likely made watchers uncomfortable or drew away attention from the animal itself. During the time the animals would be shown in the film it would be a POV shot from the perspective of the main male lead, and I don’t want anything to take away from the ferociousness perceived by the main male lead. Filming the animals did not present as much as a struggle as I though it would. I initially imagined that the animals would run away when I approached them with camera, but they unexpectedly moved towards me. However, they weren’t eager enough so at one point I had to bring out treats to coax the animals. I got amazing shots of the bunny and hamster clawing at the camera, that could be seen as an aggressive manner. During filming I made sure the camera did not hurt the animals in any way and that they were supplied with water and food. The bunny tends to get nervous at loud noises we made sure to limit the noise and check on her every so often. My dog gets excited over treats and so I used that to convince her to eagerly jump at the camera for the main male lead’s point of view shot. Since filming is completed, only editing remains. Since I was mainly focusing on completing all the filming I did not edit during the break. From now to the due date, I will continue to edit. Later, I will edit based on the response I get from peer reviews. I will also begin to look more seriously at music selections. I already have an idea of what mood and kind of music I want in each scene. There was one major change in filming and that was the location. To present a more realistic scene nd because it would accommodate all parties better I decided to not film at the beach. I instead filmed in my neighborhood. I took a bike with me so I could smoothly record the actor running without the camera being jolted up and down due to my running behind him. To get the text scenes, he changed my contact’s name and my mom assisted by texting him the breakup text. To ensure safety, water was readily available, towels were provided, and  first aid kit was nearby.
