Final Music Video "TYL" by kakie


Throughout this project there were a lot of mistakes and doubts but nonetheless I remain happy with the result. There was a lot of footage I recorded that I did not include in the video, and most things I planned previously did not actually occur in the video. With animals as actors there was a lot of patience necessary as well a lot of cleaning up after the animals. Editing was also a hassle as a component of music videos are fluent transitions and when editing on two apps, with one specifically for transitions, it became rather difficult. With enough patience and hope I completed the video.

Final Project love challenge

Throughout this project I learned several things, but the most important thing being things don't always go your way, and that's okay. While I made plans like a schedule and locations I rarely stuck to the plans. In the beginning I tried to stick to the schedule as much as possible, but I found myself becoming stressed over the dates and deadlines I set for myself and eventually learned to work on my own pace. I initially planned to film at the beach, but that plan didn't go through as well. Despite many of my ideas falling through I remain satisfied with the outcome of this project. I don't regret any changes I made, nor do I regret decisions I’ve made beforehand. I established a template and adjusted it based on my own pace and new ideas. Out of all the film projects I’ve had this year I feel I have achieved the most with this final project.

Filming All Done! No more Beach...

During spring break, I was able to complete all filming. It was perfect timing to complete all filming since we all had free time. My cousins who each own the pets in my film (bunny and hamster) had free time to clean up the animal’s cages. Prior to the cleaning, the cages were filled with poop and other substances that would have most likely made watchers uncomfortable or drew away attention from the animal itself. During the time the animals would be shown in the film it would be a POV shot from the perspective of the main male lead, and I don’t want anything to take away from the ferociousness perceived by the main male lead. Filming the animals did not present as much as a struggle as I though it would. I initially imagined that the animals would run away when I approached them with camera, but they unexpectedly moved towards me.
