The names of the Institutions, actors, editor, music supervisor, costume designer, production designer, director of photography, and the executive producers are displayed. The names of those who produced, wrote, directed, casted, and made the music also appeared in the opening scene. The title of the movie appeared in big font after the names of the institutions and main actors.

What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?

Images prioritized in the opening sequence were cheerleaders. No other image was shown other than cheerleaders performing stunts and tricks.

 What connotations do these images carry?

The images connotate the stereotype of cheerleaders. In media cheerleaders are represented as popular and well liked without any problems to bare. The focus on the cheerleaders is most likely brought in to allude to irony, seeing as how there will obstacles in the movie, debunking the stereotypical untroubled life of a cheerleader.

How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset?

Like most romantic comedies the film introduces the titles in a happy upbeat way. The music is very cheery and upbeat. There were not many comedic aspects of the opening nor were there any romantic elements. There was a large focus on the bodies of the cheerleaders which most likely means, an adult humor will occupy most of the movie.

 What strategies are used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience?

The movie most likely targets a young female audience. Unlike the movies before adult themes weren’t brought up in the opening sequence, but young adult to teenage themes were. The movie will most likely have problems and obstacles that relate to those of younger people. Things like sexuality and identity crisis are concerns that belong majorly to young people and will most likely be brought up in the movie, targeting a younger audience.

 How has technology been used effectively? You want to consider camera angles, transitions and editing techniques.

The opening sequence had many close ups of the body of the cheerleader and had high angles that allowed only parts of the cheerleaders to be seen at certain times. There was also a slow motion affect in the opening sequence. This further emphasized the fact that the man character was most likely a cheerleader with an untroubled life, so far. There was a wide shot at the end where all the cheerleaders could be seen, but there was a focus on the cheerleader in the middle who was most likely the main character.
