What titles are displayed during the opening sequences?

The names of the Institutions, actors, editor, music supervisor, costume designer, production designer, director of photography, and the executive producers are displayed. The names of those who produced, wrote, directed, casted, and made the music also appeared in the opening scene. The title of the movie appeared in big font after the names of the institutions and main actors.

What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?

Images prioritized in the opening sequence were arrows. There were also images of ruined and/or interrupted displays of love. For example, at one point there would be a male hand with flowers and a female hand accepting it, but later a pair of scissors would come and cut the flowers up.

 What connotations do these images carry?

The images connotate the direction in which the main character views love. Th arrows mostly point down and rather than prioritizing love the images suggest love should be forgotten. The image of doves showing affection was ruined by an arrow going through them. This highly suggest true love is not an option for the main female character, as it mostly the women rejecting love.

How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset?

Like most romantic comedies the film introduces the titles in a happy upbeat way. Once again, the music is calm and classy, but it is also very gleeful. There were also some comedic aspects shown; more of a mature slapstick/ dark humor. For example, the death of the birds represented the death of love, but it was comically represented in the opening.

 What strategies are used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience?

The music and some words in the opening sequence completed the job of targeting a specific audience. The audience target is older and more mature, as there are mentions of the “birds and bees” in the song. The act is typically something that concerns adults and it set the precedent for adult themed humor in the movie. The more technical term for the birds and bees also appeared on the screen and secured the target of audience. Based on the acts of the women in the scenarios of the opening sequence the movie is most likely targeted towards older females.  

 How has technology been used effectively? You want to consider camera angles, transitions and editing techniques.

The opening sequence was animated and did not include camera angles and devices, but there was some animated editing that played a part in effectively delivering a sense of plot in the beginning of the movie. The edits of the arrows and destroyed love represented in the opening scene, allowed the audience to grasp the notion that the main female character is not a fan of love and romance.

Common conventions in a music video are long shots, close ups, and mid shots. Close ups are most common out of the three, as it is the clearest way to deliver the emotions of a character in a music video as well as to help the audience understand the plot of the video better. Filming Mr. Split Commercial: My Brother Steals the Show and my Pocket Money

  Today (October 29, 2020) I decided to film the first 3 scenes of my commercial (storyboard boxes 1 through 3). After much begging, and a unreasonable payment, I finally got my brother to join me in filming and to play a few characters. I bribed him into being the banana stealer and Mr. Split, but once the later scenes like the fighting scene occurs, my youngest brother will remain as Mr. Split while my oldest brother will take over the role of banana stealer. Since the scenes were simple, I did not encounter many problems, but there were a few problems with the props. Since I had free time and my brother was in a good mood, I wanted to get the filming done today, but by the time I chose to film the bananas began to rot. It's not as noticeable in the video but I was still disappointed about it. Planning for my Music Video

                                         Since the song I chose falls into the romance category for music, I will be using two individuals to display a struggling love. I plan to use my dog Faye and my cousin’s hamster Kevin. The song I chose is called tyl by Kakie. The song discusses struggling young lovers, with one party filled with hope to make the relationship work but faced with the constant disappointment provided by the other party. She describes a hope for easy young love is while simultaneously facing the reality that it is not possible, at least not anymore.     Location Due to limited locations caused by our current situation, I only plan to film in a few places. I will film in neutral areas of my house (in front of a wall/couch), at the beach, and there'll be a few shots outside (sidewalk or grassy area). I will have a space set up that will be covered ...
